Apple Computer Check Signed by Steve Jobs in 1976 Heads to Auction, Reaches Nearly $17K
It’s not everyday that you come across anything with Steve Jobs‘ signature, much less an Apple Computer check from 1976. This one uses Apple’s first official address at “770 Welch Rd., Ste. 154, Palo Alto” and was made out to Remake & Miller, a management consulting firm in the city that provided services to the company.
Remake & Miller was a well known consulting firm at the time, dealing with such clients as Atari, Memorex, National Semiconductor, and Xerox, in addition to Apple Computer. Jobs’s hired them during Apple’s earliest stages shows his long-term growth vision after securing the first big order for the Apple-1 computer. There are 8-days left in the auction and bidding has already reached $16,500 USD. More information here.
