What a Zelda Ocarina of Time Unreal Engine 5 Remake Looks Like on an RTX 4090 in 8K
There’s CryZENx, and then Digital Dreams, who are both working on a Zelda Ocarina of Time Unreal Engine 5 remake. The latter has just released a tech demo showcasing the Temple of Time running on an NVIDIA RTX 4090 graphics card in 8K.
Not much information has been revealed about this mod, but we do know that it’s using the ReShade preset to render the familiar Temple of Time located at Hyrule Market. What is ReShade? It’s essentially a post-processing injector for video software and games capable of extracting the depth buffer, thus enabling depth-based effects like ambient occlusion as well as depth of field. In the case of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, we end up with something that would look right at home on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 / Pro.
